A few minutes from our Kew East clinic

Our clinic on Burke Road is a short drive from every street in Balwyn and Deepdene, so visit times are flexible and the clinician at the door is often someone you have seen before.

Who we visit in Balwyn

Balwyn has a large population of older residents in the substantial brick homes on its wide, tree-lined streets, many of whom have been there for decades and want to stay. Adult children arranging care for a parent make up a good share of our enquiries, and we are used to working that way. We also visit residents of the suburb’s retirement villages and aged care homes, NDIS participants, and people recovering from surgery who cannot yet manage a clinic trip.

Walking and balance in Balwyn

The suburb has excellent parks. Balwyn Park has a flat loop path, Beckett Park has its lookout tower and gently graded paths, and Maranoa Gardens is a quiet place to build walking distance among the native plantings. Whitehorse Road’s shops and the route 109 tram are practical goals for people who want to manage their own errands and travel again. Deepdene, around the Whitehorse Road and Burke Road corner, shares the same parks and the same tram.

After hospital

Balwyn residents are usually treated at Epworth Eastern in Box Hill, the private hospitals in Kew and Camberwell, or the Austin in Heidelberg. A short block of home physiotherapy in the first weeks after a joint replacement, a fracture or an illness helps the discharge stick. We follow your surgeon’s plan and keep them informed if asked.

Podiatry at home

Nail and skin care, diabetic foot assessments, ingrown toenail care and footwear advice are all available at home across Balwyn and Deepdene. Many of our regular podiatry clients here are older residents who can no longer reach their own feet comfortably.

Nearby suburbs

We also visit Kew East, Balwyn North, Canterbury and Camberwell from the same clinic.
