Home visit physiotherapy and podiatry in Kew East

The Head2Toe clinic at 1407 Burke Road is in the heart of Kew East, so home visits here are quick to arrange and often with a clinician you already know.

  • Your clinician comes from the Head2Toe clinic at 1407 Burke Road, near the Harp of Erin junction
  • Hays Paddock and the Yarra parklands offer flat, safe walking routes for recovery
  • We visit residents of the retirement villages and aged care homes across Boroondara

Our Kew East clinic

Head2Toe’s eastern clinic sits on Burke Road close to the Harp Road junction, the local shopping centre most residents know as the Harp of Erin. From there our physiotherapists and podiatrists visit homes across Kew East and the neighbouring parts of Kew, Balwyn and Ivanhoe. Travel is short, which means visit times are flexible and the clinician who comes to your home is often the same one you would see in the clinic.

Who we visit in Kew East

Kew East is a quiet, established suburb with a high proportion of older residents, many living in the family homes they have had for decades on the leafy streets between Burke Road and the Yarra. Staying in those homes is usually the goal, and it is what our home services are built for. We also visit residents of the suburb’s retirement villages and aged care homes, NDIS participants, and people recovering at home after surgery at the private hospitals in Kew and Heidelberg.

Recovery and walking in Kew East

The parklands along the Yarra, including Hays Paddock and the trails towards Willsmere, give Kew East some of the best recovery walking in the east. Flat, wide paths with benches are ideal for a graded walking program after surgery or a period of illness. The suburb’s hilly residential streets, on the other hand, are a real test of leg strength and balance, so our home programs often start indoors and progress to the footpath outside your house before tackling the slope to the shops.

Services at home here

Everything we offer at home is available in Kew East. Falls prevention is the most requested, often arranged by an adult child after a scare. Post-surgical rehab after knee and hip replacements is close behind. Our podiatrists visit regularly for nail and foot care, diabetic foot assessments and footwear appraisals, which matter for anyone walking the suburb’s hills.

Working with families and care providers

Many Kew East enquiries come from family members and from care managers at home care package providers. We are happy to speak with whoever is arranging the visit, keep them informed with the client’s agreement, and invoice the provider directly where funding allows.

Nearby suburbs

From the Kew East clinic we also visit Kew, Balwyn, Balwyn North, Ivanhoe, Bulleen and the suburbs south to Camberwell. If your suburb is not listed, ask, as the service area is growing.

Arranging a visit

Head2Toe Home is the home-visit arm of the Head2Toe group. Send an enquiry with your suburb and funding type and we will match a clinician from the Kew East clinic and confirm a time by phone.
