Home visit physiotherapy and podiatry in Camberwell

Camberwell is the Junction, Burke Road and the wide streets of homes that spread out from them, a short drive south of our Kew East clinic. Our physiotherapists and podiatrists visit homes across the suburb.

  • Your clinician comes from the Head2Toe clinic at 1407 Burke Road, Kew East
  • Camberwell Junction, the Sunday market and Camberwell station are practical goals for independent errands
  • The suburb's wide, mostly flat streets and local reserves suit a graded walking program

Straight down Burke Road from our clinic

Our Kew East clinic is on Burke Road, and so is Camberwell Junction, so the drive between them is as simple as it gets. Travel is short and visit times are flexible.

Who we visit in Camberwell

Camberwell has one of the highest proportions of older residents in the inner east, many in the substantial homes they have owned for decades on the streets around Prospect Hill Road and Riversdale Road, and many more in the suburb’s retirement villages and aged care homes. Staying at home, or living well in retirement living, is the goal we hear most. We also visit NDIS participants in the apartments along Burke Road and Camberwell Road, and people recovering from surgery who cannot yet manage a clinic trip. Adult children arranging care for a parent make up a large share of our enquiries.

Walking and balance in Camberwell

The suburb’s wide, mostly flat streets suit a graded walking program, and local reserves such as Lynden Park have level paths and benches. Camberwell Junction’s shops, the Sunday market and Camberwell station are practical goals for people who want to manage their own errands and travel again, and the route 70, 72 and 75 trams are goals for people working towards independent travel.

After hospital

Camberwell residents are usually treated at Epworth Hawthorn, Cabrini in Malvern, Epworth Eastern in Box Hill or the private hospitals in Kew and Camberwell itself. A short block of home physiotherapy in the first weeks after a joint replacement, a fracture or an illness helps the discharge stick. We follow your surgeon’s plan and keep them informed if asked.

Podiatry at home

Nail and skin care, diabetic foot assessments, ingrown toenail care and footwear advice are all available at home across Camberwell, including in retirement villages. Many of our regular podiatry clients here are older residents who can no longer reach their own feet comfortably.

Nearby suburbs

We also visit Hawthorn East, Canterbury, Balwyn and Surrey Hills from the same clinic.
