Home visit physiotherapy and podiatry in Mont Albert

Mont Albert is a quiet suburb of Federation homes around the Hamilton Street village, a short drive south east of our Kew East clinic. Our physiotherapists and podiatrists visit homes across it and across Mont Albert North.

  • Your clinician comes from the Head2Toe clinic at 1407 Burke Road, Kew East
  • This page also covers Mont Albert North, towards the Koonung Creek and Box Hill North
  • Hamilton Street village and Union station are practical goals for independent errands

A short drive from our Kew East clinic

Our clinic on Burke Road reaches Mont Albert in a few minutes by way of Whitehorse Road or Mont Albert Road, so travel is short and visit times are flexible. Mont Albert North, on the far side of Belmore Road towards the Koonung Creek, is covered by the same team and this page.

Who we visit in Mont Albert

Mont Albert has a high proportion of older residents, many in the Federation and Edwardian homes they have owned for decades on the leafy streets around the village. Those houses come with front steps, long hallways and big gardens, and staying in them is the goal we hear most. Adult children arranging care for a parent make up a large share of our enquiries. We also visit the suburb’s retirement villages and aged care homes, NDIS participants, and people recovering from surgery who cannot yet manage a clinic trip.

Walking and balance in Mont Albert

The suburb’s wide, mostly flat streets suit a graded walking program, and the local reserves have level paths and benches. The Hamilton Street village, with its shops and cafes, and Union station, which replaced the old Mont Albert and Surrey Hills stations, are practical goals for people who want to manage their own errands and travel again. In Mont Albert North, the Koonung Creek trail offers longer, shaded walks.

After hospital

Mont Albert residents are usually treated at Epworth Eastern or Box Hill Hospital, both minutes away, or at the private hospitals in Kew and Camberwell. A short block of home physiotherapy in the first weeks after a joint replacement, a fracture or an illness helps the discharge stick. We follow your surgeon’s plan and keep them informed if asked.

Podiatry at home

Nail and skin care, diabetic foot assessments, ingrown toenail care and footwear advice are all available at home across Mont Albert and Mont Albert North. Many of our regular podiatry clients here are older residents who can no longer reach their own feet comfortably.

Nearby suburbs

We also visit Surrey Hills, Canterbury, Balwyn and Balwyn North from the same clinic.
