Home visit physiotherapy and podiatry in Moonee Ponds

Moonee Ponds is where Head2Toe started, and our Pascoe Vale Road clinic is a few minutes from every street in the suburb. For people who cannot easily get to us, we come to you.

  • Your clinician comes from the Head2Toe clinic at 42 Pascoe Vale Road, near Puckle Street
  • Short travel times mean flexible visit slots across the suburb
  • Close to Moonee Valley Racecourse, Queens Park and the Maribyrnong River paths

Our home suburb

The Head2Toe clinic at 42 Pascoe Vale Road sits just off the Puckle Street shopping strip, a short walk from Moonee Ponds station and the Clocktower Centre. Many of our clinicians have worked in this clinic for years, and a good share of our home-visit clients are people who used to walk through its doors before a hip, a fall or a diagnosis made the trip hard. Visiting them at home is a natural extension of what we already do.

Because the clinic is so close, Moonee Ponds home visits are easy to fit around a clinician’s day. That usually means more choice of times, and it means a familiar face if you have been a Head2Toe patient before.

Who we visit in Moonee Ponds

Moonee Ponds has a large population of older residents in the streets between Mount Alexander Road and the river, many living independently in the homes they have owned for decades. Staying in those homes is often the main goal of the people we see. We also visit residents of the suburb’s retirement living and aged care settings, NDIS participants in the newer apartment buildings around the station precinct, and people recovering at home after surgery.

What we offer at home here

All our home services are available in Moonee Ponds. The most requested are the falls prevention program, strength and mobility physiotherapy for older adults, rehab after joint replacement surgery, and regular podiatry for nail and foot care. Diabetic foot assessments and footwear advice are common requests from people managing diabetes with their GP.

Getting around Moonee Ponds

The suburb’s flat streets and the paths along the Maribyrnong River and through Queens Park are good places to build walking confidence once you are ready. Part of a home physiotherapy program is often a graded walking plan that starts at the front gate and works towards a loop you enjoy, whether that is the river path or a coffee on Puckle Street. The steps and ramps around the station and the Moonee Valley Racecourse precinct are useful real-world practice for people working on stairs and uneven ground.

Nearby suburbs

We also visit Essendon, Ascot Vale and Aberfeldie from the Moonee Ponds clinic, so if the visit is for a relative in a neighbouring street, we can help there too.

Arranging a visit

Send an enquiry with your suburb and the type of funding, or call the clinic, and we will match a physiotherapist or podiatrist and confirm a time. Head2Toe Home is part of the Head2Toe group, and your records are shared with the clinic so a mix of home and clinic care is simple to arrange.
